Want to become a Certified Recovery Specialist?

Becoming a CRS is an honorary profession and offers credentials for those with personal lived-experience. The personal insight into the recovery process provides a unique perspective to others in need of help.

There are minimum requirements one needs to become a CRS, including but not limited to:​​

  • Minimum high school diploma/GED.

  • 78 hours of mandatory and specialized recovery specialist training, including 66 hours of in class and 12 hours online instruction.

  • Written 1,000 word statement about your personal experience with addiction and recovery.

  • More than 18 months of continuous personal, lived recovery experience.

  • Agree to ethical code of conduct.

  • Proof of residency or employment in Pennsylvania.
