
Want to become a Certified Recovery Specialist?
Becoming a CRS is an honorary profession and offers credentials for those with personal lived-experience. The personal insight into the recovery process provides a unique perspective to others in need of help.

There are minimum requirements one needs to become a CRS, including but not limited to:​​

Minimum high school diploma/GED.

78 hours of mandatory and specialized recovery specialist training, including 66 hours of in class and 12 hours online instruction.

Written 1,000 word statement about your personal experience with addiction and recovery.

More than 18 months of continuous personal, lived recovery experience.

Agree to ethical code of conduct.
-
Proof of residency or employment in Pennsylvania.
